Facilities Use and Rental

Branford House

The Branford House is located at the Avery Point campus of the University of Connecticut. It was built in 1903 for Morton F. Plant as a "summer" cottage at a cost of $3 million dollars. Its high decorative ceiling, ornate wood paneling, and marble fireplace make it the most desirable place in Groton to hold a romantic wedding reception or any other event you wish to make special.

If you would like information on rental of the Branford House, you may email branfordhouse@uconn.edu or phone (860) 405-9072. Be sure to include your name, address, and phone number and where you may be reached during work hours. You may also visit the Branford House website at www.branford.uconn.edu.

A packet of information will be sent out you to peruse at your leisure. This information includes house "do's" and "don'ts", the rental coast and deposit, and direction to the Avery Point campus. If you wish to see the house before you decide if it's for you, you may do so by making an appointment.

Athletics

The gymnasium and swimming pool are available for rental. Contact the athletic director by email or call 860-405-9184
